Aspire to Inspire

bubbles-1038648_1920The life we live as women should be inspiring to anyone who interacts with us. The world is already full of people who seem to have no problem breaking each other down, the real challenge is to live a life that encourages and inspires.

“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.”  Hebrews 10:24-25

I love the way the NLT Bible puts it. “Let us think of ways to motivate one another”

I think it is really, really important that we grasp the idea of motivating each other. See, God knows how the world is and He knew that we would all get to those points where we need the encouragement, and motivation. He knows that sometimes the fires of passion die down to just a flame and that we become so wrapped up in everything around us that it drains us of our inspiration. That’s why He says that we should be there to encourage each other, because when we start to lose that fire, the people around us will help reignite our passion.

As women, we are nurturers. What I mean by that is that God created us to grow and nurture what we’re given. A child knows where the love and comfort comes from. Fathers play a different role when bringing up a child, but a mother, a mother is where the comfort comes from. It’s the way God created us, when someone hands us something, we nurture it and grow it.

In our lives there are going to be many times where we need to draw from God and other people to be inspired, but also we are going to need to inspire those around us. Our lives, what we do and who we are should shine Jesus, and we should shine Jesus so bright that people can’t help but be inspired to do greater things.

Maybe now you’re wondering “How do I inspire anyone? I am just me?”.

Well of course there are many ways to inspire those around you but by discovering who you are in God and finding His will for your life is probably the first step. When you are in God’s will for your life, life becomes something else, something beautiful. Everything feels so right that there’s just something different about you, and about the way you see life. People will see that. Those who encounter you will see that something good is different about you and the way you speak about your life and what you do will start to get people thinking about how they can feel like that about their lives and well there you have it. You have already just influenced someone to think about how they can feel like that. Something as simple as living your life the way God intended could be the very way you influence and inspire others. When you are doing what you are created for and that fiery passion burns bright within you, it’s hard not to notice.

The world needs more people who come alive, mostly because when people
see you coming alive due to what you do and who you are, it inspires them to do what they’re passionate about and be exactly who they are.

So how do you inspire people? By being passionate about who you are, what you’re called to do and passionate about God. Be passionate about the life you have been given.

Destiny Not Destination

So often when we think of Destiny we put a point in the future when we are just right and everything is in place and say we will get to our destiny. Destiny is not a place or state to be achieved that is destination, a finite point or place we want to reach.

Destiny is so much more and embraces every part of our lives from now until that destination, which of course is heaven and being fully in the presence of our Lord.

God has placed Destiny in every person’s heart and life and He is ready to walk with us every step of the way as we figure it out. Destiny is one of the reasons God made us in the first place. Ps 139: 16(AMP), “ Your eyes saw my unformed substance, and in Your book all the days (of my life) were written before they ever took shape, when as yet there were none of them” God has always had purpose and destiny for us which He placed inside of us while He was forming us in the womb.

Destiny is what you were born to do and be involved with. Destiny motivates us and gives us a sense of fulfilment as we do it. Destiny is all about finding the passions and desires deep within our hearts and finding a way to pursue them. It is really all about what we give back to the world and the people that God loves passionately. Christ’s destiny was the salvation of mankind and the defeat of the devil but His whole life was passionately filled with different actions, thoughts, prayers, situations, places and people that were all vibrantly part of His Destiny. His destination on earth was the cross but His Destiny was His entire life.

Destiny is a path we travel, a race we run and a purpose we fulfil every day. How do you find your Destiny, is a question many ask? Firstly pray and surrender every thought, plan and vision you have had to the Lord and give the Holy Spirit permission to lead you into His truth for your life. Next look into your heart and begin to search for your passions. Sometimes there are so many things we are interested in but that does not make them our Destiny. Destiny is that which God has placed in your heart as a deep desire.

Write them all down and mark the ones that make your eyes sparkle and your heart leap. Now bring these again to the Lord and ask Him to lead and guide you to where you should go and to whom, so they can help you discern and confirm what you have discovered. Once you have that you are ready for the next phase in walking in your Destiny. See you next week for more.

A Proverbs 31 Woman

A Proverbs 31 woman… She is a lot to live up too. I know I’m not the only one who reads that chapter in Proverbs and starts to see all the areas in my life that need improvement.

The woman that is described in Proverbs 31 is by far the most amazing woman you could ever think of and sometimes when we read that passage in the Bible, we might feel a bit discouraged because we often compare ourselves, and when we hear about such an amazing woman, we can’t help but start looking at our own lives.

The Proverbs 31 woman sounds like someone, a character, in a movie. She sounds perfect.

Perfect?! How do we become like that strong, courageous, hardworking, tenderhearted woman. How do you become a Proverbs 31 woman? Is it even possible? Or is it just another impossible standard we are supposed to hold ourselves to?

I find myself examining my own life and honestly, I am nothing like the woman described in Proverbs 31. I don’t know about you, but for me, it can be a little daunting to just read that passage. Does God really expect us to be that perfect? Does God really expect us to do all of that, or be all all of that described in the passage?

Not without Him we can’t. He knows that we cannot be anything like the woman in Proverbs 31 without Him. In fact, I don’t really think any of us would ever be able to live up to any of that without God. See, He didn’t describe who we are supposed to be, He described a woman who we are to aspire to be. It’s the same idea as God knowing that we can never be perfect, and live sinless lives, especially if we try to do it on our own, so God knows. He knows that we could never be that woman, especially if we tried to be her without Him.

I feel that God gave us the Proverbs 31 woman to encourage us, to show us that we are capable of being this amazing woman with Him by our side. We aren’t supposed to look at the Proverbs 31 woman and compare ourselves and start to feel bad about how we may be nothing like the woman God describes in His Word, we are supposed to look at her and see how amazing we can be when we submit ourselves to God and live the lives He called us to live.

Verse 30 says “Charm is deceptive, and beauty does not last; but a woman who fears the Lord will be greatly praised.”

A WOMAN WHO FEARS THE LORD WILL BE GREATLY PRAISED. The most important thing in us, as woman of God, is that we are woman who fear God.

It’s not about how we look, what we wear, how funny or charming we are or what our career is, it’s about who God is in our lives. Its all about where we place God in our hearts that determines if we are a Proverbs 31 woman.

She is clothed with strength and dignity,

and she laughs without fear of the future.   Proverbs 31:25

Purpose. Do I have one?

God’s daughters need to come to the realization and acceptance that we have a special call, function and destiny from God.

Ps 139: 16 tells us that God has always had a purpose for each person He creates. ” Your eyes saw my substance, being yeti formed and in Your book they were all written, the day’s fashioned for me, when as yet there were none of them.”

Ps 20:4 “May He grant you according to your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your purpose!” God is a God of purpose everything has a plan and a purpose and a time for everything. Nothing and no one was created and birthed by the Lord for no reason. There is always a reason.

So often life and words have told us as women that our purpose is to live, to work, to have children and then to die. But God has so much more for us. He had very specific purposes in mind when He set about forming sand He has carefully placed within us everything in terms of gifting, personality, Grace and ability in order to find and that purpose. When we see ourselves less than who God says we are we trample and close up the fullness and potential God has placed in us.

The words that we allow to run around in our heads ll either push us towards the purposes of God or will stifle any growth and faith towards being who the Lord created us to be in the first place. We need to identify these things and either allow them more room in our lives or deal with them if they’re holding us back.

There are so many reasons we have low self images or have minds that quickly run to negative criticisms about ourselves and we must uncover these and bring them to the Lord for Him to heal, cancel, restore and empower. As we blog together let us explore the potential of great freedom in God and the exciting journey of discovering and fulfilling His purposes for our lives.

I love the positive declaration and affirmation from Bonnie and Mahesh Chavda: “A woman made in the image of God and born again by His Spirit will be like the Lion of the tribe of Judah who made her. her approach to life, the manner and means by which she deals with her identity, how she interacts with society, her response to life experiences and circumstances – all these will spring from the genetic replica of her Father in heaven, an empowering fire from within. She was born for this, to reflect the glory and image of God. At least she has been give that opportunity, capability and destiny.” “The Hidden power of a Woman.”

Women Of Destiny’s Vision

person-690112_1280God in His unique way knew that earth was not fully complete until He had formed and breathed His life into woman and placed her in a unique position with man and everything else He had created. The world has tried very hard to undo, lessen, undermine or destroy women and who the Lord really created us to be.

So many women have no idea who they really are and the incredible part of God that He has encapsulated in them. Women of Destiny has a vision to change this and bring women back to the truth of who we are. As a united group of ladies we aim to encourage and inspire the women around us to find themselves in God. Our dream and purpose is to see and encourage all women of the world to be exactly who they were created to be.

God’s vision for women of Destiny is:

To bring His daughters to the realization and acceptance that they have a special call, function and destiny from God.

To teach, train, pray for, counsel and mentor each lady in our sphere of influence towards healing and wholeness of her femininity, womanhood and place in the body of Christ.

To help each lady find the gifting of God within her and to help her desire to fulfil His call on her life.

To equip and support each lady to know how to function in her gift and calling.

To provide opportunities for women to operate in their gifting.

To launch ladies as the Lord directs into their individual calling.

To walk through every door God opens for us in order to touch and minister to ladies wherever in the world He sends us.

To see an army of God’s secret weapons – His ladies – trampling on the head of the enemy who has tried to keep women from functioning as God has created them to.

Walk with us as we examine and unfold who you truly are – A Woman of Destiny
